Emily Eymundson

Emily is a choreographer, educator, director, and artist residing and working on the unceded lək̓ʷəŋən traditional territories, known as Victoria, BC. She works primarily in dance education and musical theatre.

Education

Emily currently instructs elementary school drama students at Amber Academy, pre-school aged ballet students at the Westcoast Academy of Performing Arts, high school students in the dance program at Oak Bay Secondary School and adult dancers at Passion & Performance Arts Inc. She is also the owner/operator of Better With Music: an inclusive musical theatre school dedicated to making the performing arts accessible for all.

Styles she specializes in include jazz styles, dance for musical theatre, contemporary, modern, lyrical, physical theatre, and hip hop.

Emily is especially passionate about accessibility and inclusion in performing arts spaces, and is available for talks and courses about creating safe dance and drama spaces.

Direction

Emily has experience directing stage production, film, and music videos. She is deeply passionate about musical theatre. Her most recent production was VOS Musical Theatre’s The Rocky Horror Show.

She also is experienced in stage management, sound/video editing, costuming, and prop design.

Choreography

For both stage production and film, Emily is versed in choreographing for soloists, duos, and large groups. She specializes in choreography for musical theatre and hip hop, among other styles.
